Day 3

I could not sleep at all last night.  I know you're all thinking "well you took two longass naps yesterday, of course!"  But I have MS, remember?  I'm also a member of the Zeitouni family, and we don't call it sleep, we call it hibernation!  I am fully capable of sleeping several days at a time.  So then why no sleep?  Well I can't know for sure but I read in other people's blogs and in my handy dandy books, that it is common for the body to be up at night with extra energy from the juicing.  Let's hope it was that!!!  Wow, I would love to get rid of this fatigue.  Can't wait to start feeling healthy!

Despite no sleep last night, I had a ton of energy during the day.
In other news...
Today was one of the WORST days I have had in a long time.
Not because of the juicing!  Terrible day at work, like nightmare status.  And the day just got worse when I got home.  Normally a day like this would just knock me out since the emotional drain really exacerbates my symptoms.  So I felt blessed to have more energy to handle all the insanely massive curveballs from the day.

When I am stressed I eat chocolate in ridiculous amounts.  So today I was craving chocolate pretty badly.  Had I not been on this juice fast, I probably would have been on a chocolate coffee binge.  Despite how hard it was to resist hopping in to CVS and buying chocolate, I am so glad I'm on the fast and did not hurt my body with comfort food today.  It was rough though!  The blog is definitely holding me accountable!

Barely finished three juices today.  I'm really surprised at how little I'm consuming.  I mean granted each juice has like 6-12 veggies in it.  But I thought going without solid food would leave me hungry all the time.  And I promise, I'm not hungry!  The second I get hungry, I grab a bottle (that could be misinterpreted).  So far this is a great lesson in my food consumption.  Clearly I could be eating much less than I usually do and still be satisfied.

Gorgeous Mama!
Eema (mom) came over tonight to help me remain calm with all the stress - rock on Eema!  She also got to test out the juicer herself.  She made all my juices for the next day, and was even brave enough to taste them!  I had plenty of energy in the evening, despite emotional exhaustion, and was productive until pretty late even though I did not feel strong enough for a workout.

Fiber shake, and mint tea.  So glad today is over, goodnight moon.
